As an EPM / MS Project Server Consultant, you will work out of our Houston office with teams located in throughout the country. Our project teams are composed of intelligent, dynamic, fast-paced, out-going people who are client focused, quality oriented and accept personal responsibility for specific project deliverables. You will be interacting with middle and senior managers in organizations, and assisting them to identify problems, synthesize solutions, and implement the technical components of those solutions. Apart from solution consulting, you will work with the team in sales, recruiting, promotion and support.
This is a full-time W2 position and not a contract assignment. You must be already legally authorized to work in the US (we do not sponsor applicants). While majority of our projects are in Houston, there may be travel required at times (25%-40%).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years’ experience in technical consulting, preferably Microsoft EPM
- Evidence of significant client impact (strong relationships, influence over direction)
- Advanced analysis skills and experience in the principles of software design in order to define appropriate customer solutions
- Demonstrate EPM domain knowledge in combination with broad technology knowledge and the ability to architect solution by mapping common enterprise business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project Server and experience implementing, configuring, customizing and administering the application
- Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database management system
- MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS); Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Actuate, Cognos BI or other related reporting software will be considered
- Microsoft SharePoint Services (WSS), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Microsoft Search Server (MSS) or other web-based collaboration and document management platforms
- Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or related fields
- MBA or Master’s Degree (a plus)
- PMP, MCTS Certifications (a plus). If none, you will be required to obtain an EPM related MCTS certification within 90 days.
- Security Clearance (a plus)
- Ability to Travel as and when needed (Monday -Thursday)
DESIRED SKILLS (a plus):
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Knowledge of or experience in .Net and Web Services, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Application Portfolio Management (APM)
